Leipziger Netzwerk f\u00fcr Demokratie (Leipzig Network for Democracy)<\/h5>\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t

We are a member of the Leipziger Netzwerk f\u00fcr Demokratie<\/em> (LND), a civil society project coordinated by the Erich-Zeigner-Haus e. V. The network promotes and strengthens democracy in Leipzig by supporting, advising and connecting individuals and organizations committed to democratic coexistence and to opposing discriminating and anti-democratic ideologies. These include associations, institutions, organizations, initiatives, schools, and committed citizens of Leipzig. The LND acts as a contact and networking point as well as a bridge between various committees of the city and civil society. Its mission is to establish and support sustainable, long-term effective structures for democracy work in Leipzig.<\/p>\n

We are a member of the Parit\u00e4tischer Wohlfahrtsverband Sachsen<\/em> (Parity Welfare Association of Saxony). This association comprises around 500 non-profit and diverse member organizations that are active in all areas of social work and education and pursue the common goal of enabling social justice and participation. The association\u2019s members employ around 44,000 full-time and nearly 12,000 volunteer staff and operate around 2,300 facilities and services throughout Saxony. This makes Parit\u00e4tischer<\/em> the largest umbrella organization for independent welfare services in Saxony. It advises, supports, and connects its members, promotes quality development, and represents their interests at the state level in politics and administration. In this way, it strengthens the framework conditions for social work and supports its members in their daily practice.<\/p>\n

B\u00fcndnis gegen antimuslimischen Rassismus in Sachsen (Alliance against anti-Muslim racism in Saxony)<\/h5>\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t

Anti-Muslim racism is very widespread in Saxony. This is personally burdening for Muslims and people perceived to be Muslims in Saxony, leads to numerous instances of discrimination, and damages the social climate as a whole.<\/p>\n

In light of this problem, we co-founded the B\u00fcndnis gegen antimuslimischen Rassismus in Sachsen<\/em>. We and the Haus der sozialen Vielfalt e.V.<\/em> (House of Social Diversity) are now receiving funding from the Weltoffenes Sachsen<\/em> (Cosmopolitan Saxony) support program to expand this alliance. The alliance joins forces and expertise from across Saxony. It strengthens anti-racism efforts, raises awareness of anti-Muslim racism, and brings together relevant actors. The goal is to enable all people in Saxony who are perceived as Muslims to live safely and free from discrimination in the Free State in the future.<\/p>\n

It is important to understand that anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and group-focused misanthropy all have the same origins. The Bundesallianz<\/em> develops solutions to combat and suppress all forms of racism and discrimination. What makes it special is that the migrant communities affected are directly involved in the work and that the member organizations not only contribute to the fight against racism and discrimination in their everyday work, but also in the form of the work of the Federal Alliance.<\/p>\n

We are a member of the Tolerantes Sachsen<\/em> network. This is a platform of more than 130 Saxon initiatives, associations, and organizations that are committed to promoting democratic culture and combating attitudes of inequality, anti-Semitism, and racism.<\/p>\n

The network is as diverse as its members. In different regions of the Free State, the initiatives and organizations work with very different approaches: promoting democratic community work, counseling victims of right-wing violence, strengthening and promoting acceptance of self-determined lifestyles, offering project days at schools, empowerment, raising awareness of anti-discrimination, anti-racist development education, and much more.<\/p>\n

Th\u00fcringer Antidiskriminierungsnetzwerk (Thuringian Anti-Discrimination Network)<\/h5>\t\t\t\t

We are a member of the Th\u00fcringer Antidiskriminierungsnetzwerk<\/em> (thadine for short). The network is an association of NGOs from various fields for whom anti-discrimination is a central issue. Its aim is to advise people, raise awareness among organizations, and educate the public. Discrimination affects many people on the basis of their origin, gender, age, disability, or other characteristics and has far-reaching consequences for identity and participation. Thadine wants to make discrimination visible, promote exchange, develop models for supporting those affected, and establish an anti-discrimination counseling center in Thuringia. The common goal is to create a culture of anti-discrimination in Thuringia.<\/p>\n
