AufErfolgskurs - Empowering Migrant Women for the Job Market
AufErfolgskurs (On Track to Success) is a project aimed at enhancing the participation of women with a migration and/or refugee background in the job market in Chemnitz. It builds on the experience gained from our previous work and offers comprehensive support to enable professional integration.
AufErfolgskurs is especially designed for migrant women who face additional challenges, such as language barriers, lack of professional qualifications, and the challenge of balancing family and work. Through a combination of individual and group coaching, language support, and regular open women’s meet-ups, obstacles are reduced, and skills are strengthened.
Project Goals:
- Increase job market opportunities: Participants are prepared for entering the workforce through individual and group coaching as well as practical support.
- Social integration: Open women’s meet-ups promote exchange and mutual support among participants.
- Language skills: Free, volunteer-led German courses help women overcome language barriers.
- Comprehensive support: Practical topics such as stress management, dealing with discrimination, and balancing family and work are addressed.
Expected Outcomes:
- The participation of at least 80 women during the project period.
- Improvement of social networks and resilience among participants through regular meetings and coaching.
- Increased job market opportunities for participants.
The project is implemented in cooperation with the Islamisch-kultureller Verein Chemnitz e. V. (Islamic Cultural Association of Chemnitz) to ensure easy access and create a safe space for participants. The activities and outcomes of the project will be documented and evaluated.
