Terminlots:innen

„Terminlots:innen“ are volunteers who accompany people to appointments with administrative authorities and doctors and provide them with personal and linguistic support.

Especially people who do not speak German as their mother tongue sometimes have difficulties here in Germany with administrative authorities and doctor’s appointments and need support. This is where our „Terminlots:innen“ come in, who accompany those seeking help to their appointments, translate for them and generally help them to find their way around the government authorities or the health system in Germany through our presence.

What is special about this is that the „Terminlots:innen“ usually have a migration background themselves, i.e. they are native speakers.

The „Terminlots:innen“ project was funded by the City of Leipzig in 2021 and 2022.
