The Islamic communities, Islamisches Zentrum Dresden e.V. and DiTiB Dresden – Türkisch Islamische Gemeinde zu Dresden e. V., together with us, the Islamic Welfare Project and the Mayor’s Office of the City of Dresden organised an open breaking of the fast on 1 April in the Bürgerlabor Dresden.
It was an open event to which all citizens were warmly invited. Many people followed this invitation, so that the Bürgerlabor was filled to the last seat. A filmic insight into the event is provided by MDR in Sachsenspiegel. On the same day, MDR reported on Kassem Taher Saleh, a member of the Bundestag, who also took part in the breaking of the fast by the Islamic communities.
