The Internet has long been an essential part of our lives. Whether writing a resume, communicating by mail, or simply surfing the web: Anyone who has mastered the basics can get through everyday life more easily. At the same time, it is a fact that a large part of the migrant population has an increased need for support and education in precisely these areas. We address this deficiency in our work, exemplified by our office in Rostock:
For some months now, a computer course for beginners has been taking place in our location in the Hansaviertel. In small groups, the participants learn how to use a computer properly. In addition to an introduction to the Windows system, first steps are made in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Another focus is on surfing the Internet and the topic „Safe on the Net“.
Another project that falls into this category is a tutoring course for IT students, which already started in winter 2019. Whether it’s math I/II/III, programming with C/C++ or electrical engineering, through the supervision of our site manager Ahmed, who has completed his master’s degree in computer science and engineering, we can provide free and at the same time professional assistance to the students.
So: if you are from Rostock or the nearby areas and need help in these topics, or if you know someone who does, please contact us!
