On Thursday, 7 February 2019, a two-hour information event on the topic of „Scholarships for refugees“ took place at the office of the „Wir sind Paten“ project in Leipzig. An event that mentees and mentors (Pat*innen) alike wished for. Since all those present spoke Arabic, the speaker, Malek Alabdulah, consequently held his speech on the subject in Arabic. This was aided by a Powerpoint presentation in German. The presentation was followed by an open discussion round, which offered time for questions. 15 guests were invited, who actively participated in the event.
