Basic IT Course
in Erfurt
As part of our SPOT project, we are offering a new computer course for migrants and refugees starting from May 15, 2024. The goal of the course is to provide basic IT skills and promote integration into the job market.
In our basic IT course, participants will learn practical computer applications that are essential in daily life and the workplace:
- Microsoft Word for creating and editing texts
- Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets and simple calculations
- Setting up and using email, as well as using Zoom and other conferencing tools for online meetings.
The course started on May 15 and will run until November 30, 2024. Meetings are held every Saturday from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Berliner Platz 10 in Erfurt.
The course is aimed at migrants and refugees who want to improve their computer skills to enhance their job market prospects. Participation is a great opportunity to get ready for the digital world.
A key feature of this project is the childcare service provided. This enables parents with young children to focus entirely on learning. This service is especially valuable for parents on parental leave.
The SPOT project is funded by the Commissioner for Integration, Migration, and Refugees of Thuringia. The course is free of charge, and participants can join at any time. Interested individuals can contact Nader Raslan, who is available as contact person. He can be reached via email at n.raslan[at]soziale-dienste-jugendhilfe.de.
